Scholarship Description The College Monk $ short essay scholarship is an essay-required scholarship with no GPA requirements. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to high school graduating students or college students who are going to attend an accredited institution in the US 3/31/ · The scholarship is awarded monthly and is available to all eligible students regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status. Ivy A. Monk Scholarship Trust Program
UMB Bank has established a scholarship program to assist graduating high school seniors from designated high schools in Dickinson, Ottawa and Saline counties in Kansas who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, the college monk scholarship orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin. Up to fifteen 15 awards will be granted. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America.
In no instance does any officer or employee of UMB Bank play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the the college monk scholarship as final. Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of UMB Bank. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
As part of your application, you must upload a current, the college monk scholarship, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, the college monk scholarship, and term in which each course was taken. Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf. Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
